Viscose
Viscose is a fiber made from regenerated cellulose, with the primary raw material most often being wood, cotton, or other materials with a high cellulose content. Although not purely natural, it is considered a sustainable alternative with features similar to natural fibers.
Properties of viscose:
- Softness and drape – the fabric is pleasant to the touch and drapes beautifully
- Breathability – allows the skin to breathe, similar to cotton
- Absorbency – excellent at absorbing moisture, ideal for summer clothing
- Silky appearance – often used as a cheaper alternative to silk
- Comfort – doesn't scratch or itch, is comfortable to wear
- Wrinkling – can be a disadvantage, but blends with elastane reduce this effect
Uses:
- Apparel: dresses, blouses, skirts, shirts, tunics, summer pants, jumpsuits
- Bedding: soft and cool to the touch
- Decorations: curtains, tablecloths, cushion covers
In our selection, you will also find viscose combined with elastane, which offers greater stretch and better shape retention.
