The house of Gryffindor

The house was founded by Godric Gryffindor. Its symbol is the lion, its element is fire, and its key traits are courage, daring and chivalry. The head of house is Professor Minerva McGonagall and the house ghost is Nearly Headless Nick. Students of the house include Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
