The ChiaoGoo TWIST Lace interchangeable circular needle set in size Small includes everything you need to make the right circular needle for your project: tips in seven sizes, cables of different lengths and the essential accessories. Memory-free cables

The very flexible cables with a red nylon coating are made of multiple steel wires. They have no memory and do not kink or twist while you knit. The tips are attached, tightened or loosened with the supplied key.

Screw sizes and compatibility

TWIST Lace sets come in Small (S, tips 2.75 - 5.00 mm), Large (L, 5.50 - 10.00 mm), Complete (C, 2.75 - 10.00 mm) and Mini (M, 1.50 - 2.50 mm). TWIST and SPIN products share the same screw size and can be combined. Tips and cables are laser engraved with their screw size. Mini cannot be connected directly to sizes S and L; ChiaoGoo adapters are used for that.

Care and maintenance

According to ChiaoGoo, wipe the cables and metal tips with rubbing alcohol before first use for a smoother yarn feed, and wipe them again from time to time. Tighten each tip onto the cable with the supplied T-shaped key every time for a more secure join. New cables are memory-free, but a kinked cable will hold the kink, so do not pinch or sharply bend them. The set can be stored in the supplied case.

ChiaoGoo is a family-owned business started by four brothers. Their father ran a workshop from the early 1980s that made bamboo knitting needles, and the brothers grew up in the Chinese town of Linan, known as the bamboo capital of China. According to the maker, the name ChiaoGoo means "highly skillful and crafty lady". It was inspired by the brothers' mother, an avid knitter who tested new needles. The needles are designed and distributed in Troy, Michigan, and manufactured in Hangzhou, China.
